It was in 1903 that Adolphe Clément, founder of the Clément-Bayard auto find in association with Darracq, started an Englishsubsidiary-Clément-Talbot, Ltd. in conjunction with the Earl ofShrewsbury and Talbot. After having sold cars under the Talbot name,Clément-Talbot was bought by the Darracq Company in 1919.
